The Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Executive - Account Payables to join our Finance team. The role will focus primarily on Accounts Payable and Payroll operations, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with financial and tax regulations. This is a hands-on position, ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and takes pride in delivering high-quality work. This role is part of a finance team supporting entities based in Malta and internationally. The position requires flexibility and adaptability to work with different accounting, HR, and payroll systems across multiple jurisdictions.
What you'll be doing
Process and verify supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy and appropriate approvals
Maintain vendor records and manage supplier relationships
Prepare and execute payment runs in accordance with company policies and timelines
Reconcile supplier accounts and resolve invoice/payment discrepancies
Support month-end and year-end closing activities related to Accounts Payables
Assist with reconciliations, accruals, and other accounting tasks as required
Support internal and external audits by preparing necessary documentation
Contribute to process improvement initiatives within the Finance team
Who we're looking for
Relevant educational background in accounting, finance, or a related field
Proven experience in accounts payables
Understanding of (or willingness to learn) local tax, labour, and payroll regulations relevant to the region
Experience using ERP systems, ideally Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
Proficient in accounting software and MS Office (especially Excel)
High attention to detail and accuracy
Strong organisational and communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Openness to working in an international environment
