The role

The Lead Data Analyst exists to drive the transformation of analytics into a proactive, insight-led function that empowers smarter decision-making across the business. This role provides leadership in shaping analytical standards, guiding a team of analysts, and ensuring data is consistent, trusted, and actionable. By combining technical expertise with strategic direction, the Lead Data Analyst helps build a high-performing analytics capability that supports Gentoo’s growth

What you'll be doing

• Lead the delivery of the analytics strategy, ensuring alignment with the company’s data transformation roadmap and business objectives.
• Develop and maintain consistent KPIs and performance frameworks used across Marketing, SEO/Product, and Sales to ensure accuracy and comparability of metrics.
• Partner with business stakeholders to provide proactive, data-driven insights that influence strategic and operational decisions on partner performance, acquisition, and retention.
• Collaborate closely with Data Engineering and Data Operations to ensure data quality, reliability, and governance standards are upheld.
• Mentor and guide a team of analysts, fostering a culture of accountability, curiosity, and proactive insight generation.
• Translate complex analytical findings into clear, compelling stories and recommendations for non-technical audiences, including senior management.
• Explore and apply AI and advanced analytics tools (such as Snowflake Cortex AI) to enhance predictive analytics.
• Champion a data-driven culture by promoting collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement within the Data & Analytics function and across departments.

Who we're looking for

• Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Economics or a related analytical field
• Minimum 4+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or performance analysis roles.
• Proven experience in iGaming, affiliate marketing, or digital performance environments is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated track record of delivering data-driven insights that influence strategic and commercial decisions.
• Experience leading or mentoring analysts and collaborating with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Product, Sales, Finance).
• Advanced SQL and data manipulation skills (ideally within Snowflake).
  Strong proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
• Solid understanding of data modeling, KPIs, and performance frameworks.
• Familiarity with Python/R
• Knowledge of AI/ML concepts and experience integrating analytics with emerging AI capabilities is advantageous.
• Strong leadership and team development abilities, able to guide and inspire analysts.
• Excellent communication and data storytelling skills; capable of translating complex insights into clear business recommendations.
• High commercial awareness and the ability to connect analytics to strategic outcomes.
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills, with experience managing multiple stakeholders and projects simultaneously.
• Proactive mindset with a focus on improvement, impact, and collaboration.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment with shifting priorities and ambitious growth goals.
